Our belts are made with seven oval holes and the belt size is measured from the turn of the leather at the buckle to the middle hole.

how to measure your leather belt

PLEASE DO NOT MEASURE THE WHOLE LENGTH OF YOUR BELT - THIS WILL NOT TELL US YOUR SIZE. MEASURE TO THE MOST USED HOLE ONLY.

Leather Colour

Due to the oak bark leather being full grain and hand finished the shades of colour vary with each hide. Natural brown allows the character of the leather to be seen at its best. Light oak is similar to the traditional London tan or Newmarket colour. Shades of light oak can vary a great deal giving a lighter option which matures and mellows with age. Black also has a full grain finish. This leather ranges in thickness from 4 to 5.5mm.

Full Grain Leather

During tanning the hide surface is not buffed or 'corrected'. This allows the character which occurs naturally in the life of the animal to be seen e.g., scars, growth marks etc. The hides are finished by hand, which adds a natural variation to the final surface colour.

What Size Belt Do I Need?

Your belt size will generally be 2″ larger than your trouser size. Alternatively measure a belt that you already use from the turn of the leather at the buckle end to the hole used the most and this will give you the size you need to order.

Bespoke Sizes:

If your measured size is a odd measurement the next standard size up will be a good slightly generous choice. If you would like a custom sized belt use the size drop down above, choose custom size and add the size you want to the order notes section on the checkout page.

How Many Holes:

Our standard belts have seven holes, if you would prefer 5 or 9 holes please leave a note on the check out page
